Following the success of the ECRYPT Workshop on Tools for Cryptanalysis 2010,the ECRYPT II Symmetric Techniques Virtual Lab (SymLab) is pleased to announce the 2012 Summer School on Tools. Covering selected topics in both symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, this summer school will provide a thorough overview of some of the most important cryptographic tools that emerged in recent years. While the summer school is aimed primarily at postgraduate students, attendance is open to all.
The summer school will cover the following topics :
- Polynomial System Solving techniques in Cryptography (Gröbner Bases, Mixed Integer Programming, SAT)
- Linear Algebra
- Cryptanalysis of Hash Functions
- Cryptanalysis of Block Ciphers
- Software/Hardware Tools
Early registration deadline: 11 May, 2012.
Summer school: Monday-Friday, 28 May-01 June, 2012.

The summer school will take place in:
Saint John Mykonos, Agios Ioannis Beach 84600, Mykonos, Greece
Saint John Mykonos Hotel has a capacity of 136 hotel rooms, 9 exclusive and private suites and 3 villas. Your hotel stay is not included in the registration fee. You should book your own stay and you are encouraged to do so in the conference hotel,
where participants to the summer school can book a room at a special rate.
Note that rooms are only guaranteed until end of April. We emphasize that the period of the summer school is a touristic period. So, please do your best to reserve your hotel as soon as possible.
A limited number of stipends will be available for students from non- ECRYPT institutions. Note that these stipends should only cover the registration fee.
